05-AUG-2022 | The government of France has lifted all remaining Covid-19 restrictions for travel to France, regardless of vaccination status and where passengers are travelling from.

In a statement, the French Ministry of the Interior confirmed that all previous Covid rules for travel to France no longer applied from August 1st. Travelers no longer need to complete any documentation and no vaccination proof is required. Moreover, travelers do not need any ‘compelling reason’ to travel, and no commitments to testing are required.

The government has retained the possibility of activating ‘emergency brake’ measures in the event of a circulation of a new variant that constitutes a threat to public health.

France is the latest major travel destination to completely lift all Covid-19 entry requirements, joining Germany, Italy, Ireland, Malta, South Africa, Australia, and the UK.

Some other destinations are open to all travelers but still have vaccination requirements, including Canada, New Zealand and the USA.
