Canada to remove all Covid travel restrictions

26-SEP-2022 | All COVID travel restrictions in Canada will be gone starting on October 1.

The Government of Canada announced the removal of all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada.

As of October 1, both international and domestic travelers to Canada no longer need to submit mandatory health information through ArriveCAN when entering the country and proof of vaccination or COVID-19 testing prior to or on arrival.

Canada is also removing existing travel requirements. Travelers are not any more required to:

  • undergo health checks for travel on air and rail; or
  • wear masks on planes and trains.

The removal of the travel restrictions was the result of Canada’s high vaccination rates and lower hospitalization and death numbers. Around 82% of the Canadian population have received two doses of vaccine.
