Embark on a journey through the highlights of PRODIREKT and Verbalists Education’s involvement at ICEF Berlin 2023, where a gathering of over 2,600 attendees delved into opportunities within the education industry.
10–NOV–2023 | ICEF Berlin, the flagship event of ICEF which was held from November 5-7, set new benchmarks this year with over 2,600 attendees from 110 countries engaging in a staggering 25,279 meetings. Notably, at least 70 of these meetings involved our representatives, Dejan Trpkovic, Managing Director of PRODIREKT, and Sanja Conjagic, Regional Business Development Manager of Verbalists Education & Language Network. We connected with numerous colleagues, peers, partners, and friends from the global education industry.
The decision to pursue education abroad is a formidable challenge, and as leading academic advisors and educators, we emphasize the importance of comprehending diverse cultural considerations to effectively support our students. Our conference journey commenced with active participation in two enriching seminars:
- Sustainability in international education: what needs to be done?
- Cultural awareness in international student recruitment
On the first day of the conference, significant strides were made in increasing PRODIREKT’s high school offerings through agreements with schools in the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and the US. In sync with the Verbalists Language Network’s expanding global footprint, we also negotiated new summer camps in highly sought-after language learning destinations.
The second day witnessed PRODIREKT and Verbalists Education forging numerous new connections and partnerships. As a long-term internationally accredited agency by ICEF, we also had the chance to spend some time in the exclusive lounge with the ICEF management. It’s noteworthy that ICEF has enhanced its Agency Status accreditation, including additional vetting and a new code of conduct for agencies. Presently, over 1,500 education agencies in 115 countries hold ICEF Agency Status, a designation valid for one year with the vetting and review process refreshed annually.
Post the ICEF Berlin workshop, we were honored with an invitation from our esteemed long-term partner, the German Language School (GLS), to celebrate its 40th birthday. Over the past two decades, we’ve grown alongside GLS, a distinguished language school in the German-speaking market and a five-time winner of the Star School Germany award. The spectacular birthday party unfolded at Hotel Oderberger, an architectural gem on the GLS campus.
Events like ICEF Berlin not only facilitate connections with existing and new education providers but also offer the opportunity to visit partner schools and meet our students on-site. This year, our regional manager visited GLS school to tour their Berlin campus and summer school on Lake Wolzig, 30 km southeast of Berlin. While we’ve frequented the splendid GLS campus, the chance to meet our students there is consistently priceless. Anticipate a comprehensive coverage of our GLS visit, featuring a separate media release, photo/video galleries, and testimonials – an engaging collage is in the works!
ICEF Berlin is slated to return for its 29th edition in 2024, and in keeping with tradition, we’ll be there to consistently create outstanding educational opportunities for our students worldwide.
