Last summer, we visited our students at Bisham Abbey, which is one of England’s top tennis venues. Beautifully situated on the banks of the river Thames, extensive sports facilities surround an 800 year old abbey once belonging to King Henry VIII. Several British Olympic teams use Bisham as their training base throughout the year.

The Verbalists Communication and Language Network‘s student Milos Todorovic improved his English skills this summer at Kings Education. This Serbian dentistry university student attended a four-week Super Intensive English course at Kings Boston, one of the world’s best educators, specializing in university pathways and English language teaching in the US and UK. “I was born in Canada and am currently living in an Italian town called Trento, where I’m working as a teacher of English. I met representatives from the Verbalists Language Network at a business meeting this year, organised by the Maltese IELS School, and I must admit, they won me over straight away with their approach to language learning. Last week, PRODIREKT and Verbalists representatives enjoyed the privilege of being one of the select few companies to be invited to an exclusive Manchester City Football Language School VIP event, organised by Experience English, the leading UK educator, owned by FTI Travel Group. We also used this opportunity to pay a visit to our other partner schools, making this 10-day visit a real island adventure. Last weekend saw 44 players from 26 different countries descend on Manchester. Competing at Old Trafford one of our talented players was crowned the winner of the World Skills Final 2014.
The weekend kicked off with a morning spent exploring Manchester United’s rich history with a Stadium and Museum tour, followed by lunch at the famous Red Café. In the afternoon, players followed in the footsteps of footballing legends like the great Sir Bobby Charlton and Ryan Giggs, by taking part in various football skills challenges at Manchester United’s original training ground, The Cliff.
