The CELTA teacher training course offered by IELS is a comprehensive and rigorous program designed to ensure quality teaching standards. To join the course, you must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum level of education equivalent to university entrance. While prior teaching experience is not mandatory, it can be an advantage. Throughout the four-week intensive course, you will benefit from:

Days: Monday to Friday

Application Requirements
If you are interested in achieving a CELTA you should consider these entry requirements and standard English levels.
- English language proficiency at C1 or C2 Cambridge English levels
- Minimum age of 18
- Similar education experience needed for higher education
- The potential to become an effective English Language teacher
- The ability to complete assignments and assessments
- The ability to research and understand grammar
- Adequate competence in written and spoken English
Application Process
Please be aware that filling out the PRODIREKT Application Form and Terms & Conditions does not secure a place on the program, nor does it mean you are under obligation to attend the course you are inquiring about. It is simply the first step in the application process, so that we can give you precise program details and check program availability. A contract is signed directly with the school, and a place is confirmed after a deposit or the whole course fee is settled.

Once the school receives your application, they will assess whether you should proceed to the next stage of the application process: the application interview.
As preparation for the interview the school will ask you to complete a task to help them to ascertain your fluency in spoken and written English and your current knowledge and perception of how the English language works. These tasks will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. You may be asked to explain how you might teach selected items of vocabulary. This may be conducted in a group. If you are unable to attend a face-to-face interview, the school will hold a Skype interview.
Once an offer of a place is made you will be required to pay a deposit of 600 euros to secure your place, with the remaining course fee to be paid at least four weeks before the course commences.
Please remember that the school cannot refund your money if you cancel any time after 4 weeks before the start of the course. The course may be cancelled if a minimum number of trainees is not reached. Should a course be cancelled, you will receive a full refund.
