Central to this academic summer experience is the innovative methodology known as CLIL, which stands for ‘Content and Language Integrated Learning.’ This means studying another subject (for example, science, history, or literature) and learning a language, such as English, at the same time — integrating the two subjects.
The academic LONDON program incorporates various engaging activities, such as workshops, masterclasses, and hands-on tasks, to link language with real-life topics. This aids students in developing critical thinking skills, fostering creativity, and preparing for success in both academics and future careers.

Additionally, this program integrates the unique ‘Be a Leader‘ course, crafted by David Game College. The two-week course equips you with leadership and teamwork skills in an exciting, enjoyable and educational environment leading to a CPD qualification for your CV. CPD stands for Continuous Professional Development.
Throughout the program, you’ll have the chance to Meet a Leader – accomplished individuals from diverse fields who share their personal journeys to success, inspiring your own dreams. Be a Leader facilitates self-discovery by assessing your skills, through psychometric, aptitude and career tests, resulting in a personalized ‘My Career Choice’ report to guide your future decisions.

The leisure program not only boosts academic skills for the future but also provides opportunities to make new friends, boost confidence, and explore the vibrant city every afternoon. Imagine immersing yourself in the rich history and culture of the City of London, surrounded by iconic landmarks and cultural hotspots. From exploring the Tower of London to discovering contemporary wonders in the City, this camp promises a thrilling journey.
Your academic summer experience is also filled with unique excursions within London and beyond. Weekends offer the chance to explore more of England with trips to Oxford, Windsor, Brighton, and Cambridge (depending on the time and length of your program attendance).
City of London Leisure Program
Safety & Care
The school always has dedicated staff on duty, ensuring supervision during breaks, in the evenings and on weekends. Supervision is 24/7. Students are not allowed out without a member of staff in the evenings. During trips, young learners will have free time where they will be given space to explore with their camp-mates without staff present. There will always be a member of staff close by at a designated meeting point who is contactable by phone should students need them.
Accommodation
Imagine waking up in the heart of London, surrounded by centuries of history and modern marvels. Located right next to David Game College, your accommodation is a 2 minute walk from the Tower of London and 5 minutes to the Bank of England.
The college underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment in 2017, featuring more than 60 classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards, cutting-edge Science Labs, a contemporary Lecture Theatre, a welcoming Auditorium, Art Studies, Dance Studios, and a cafeteria offering a diverse menu of nutritious meals for your enjoyment.
Food: Indulge in a diverse menu of nutritious meals served in the school canteen, accommodating various tastes, allergies, and dietary requirements.
Choose from two room options:
En-suite rooms: Each lockable bedroom features a built-in desk and desk chair in front of a panoramic window, a small double bed with memory foam mattress, ample storage, and underfloor heating. In addition, each bedroom has a separate private shower room.
Single standard room: Secure, lockable single bedrooms in two- or three-room flats. Each room shares a shower room and kitchen lounge with one or two other residents. The bedroom includes a built-in desk, desk chair, comfortable small double bed, wardrobe, storage space and underfloor heating.

Arrival dates: 28 June, 12 and 26 July . The school closes on August 9th.
Arrivals and departures for accommodation is on Sundays.

When evaluating different programs and their pricing, we recommend paying close attention to what’s included in the price. For example, the cost of the academic LONDON program includes several items that can be expensive, such as airport transfers, travel card, and travel insurance.
Additionally, all academic programs are always priced higher than standard summer schools due to their different content (i.e., learning subjects, seminars, workshops, expert guest speakers, debating clubs, etc.).
