Between classes, students often relax in the lovely courtyard, where the school café is located, or on spacious terraces that offer views of the Cathedral and remnants of 11th-century Arab walls – all set against a modern city backdrop.
This area of Valencia, known as El Carmen, is rich in cultural and historical heritage. The school’s street, Caballeros, is also surrounded by vibrant nightlife and plenty of places to enjoy yourself.
Teaching Staff
The school’s teaching staff consists of native Spanish speakers who use modern teaching methods to make classes both engaging and fun. All teachers undergo continuous professional development in line with IHWO standards. They also participate in extracurricular activities and encourage students to use Spanish in real-life situations.

Spanish Courses
(ages 16 and above)
Intensive Spanish courses focus on developing the essential language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
All lessons are conducted entirely in Spanish, using a communicative approach. Grammar is integrated and practiced within real-life contexts, making it relevant and practical for everyday use.
Lessons are task-based and carefully designed to address the students’ individual needs and learning styles, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience.
On the first day, a diagnostic test is given, after which students are placed in appropriate-level classes.
Course Structure
Students can tailor their Spanish learning experience by choosing the number of lessons per week and combining electives or private lessons with the Intensive Spanish Course, which serves as the foundation for all program options.

- Intensive 20: 20 lessons of general Spanish.
- Intensive 25: 20 lessons of general Spanish + 1 Spanish Plus elective (5 lessons).
- Intensive 30: 20 lessons of general Spanish + 2 Spanish Plus electives (10 lessons).
- Intensive Plus 25: 20 lessons of general Spanish + 5 individual lessons.
- Super Intensive 30: 20 lessons of general Spanish + 1 Spanish Plus elective (5 lessons) + 5 individual lessons.
Class Start Dates & Schedule
Classes, each lasting 55 minutes, begin every Monday for all levels, except for absolute beginners, who start every second Monday of the month. During peak season (July, August, and September), absolute beginners can start every Monday.
- Morning schedule:
- Spanish Plus (optional): 08:00 – 09:05 or 13:10 – 14:00 (Tuesday to Friday)
- General Spanish: 09:10 – 13:00
- Private lessons: To be agreed.
- Afternoon schedule:
- General Spanish: 14:10 – 18:00

Spanish Plus Electives
Our students can customize their program by adding one or two Spanish Plus electives to your Intensive Spanish Course. Electives consist of 5 lessons per week, with classes held in smaller groups of up to 10 students.

Expand your knowledge of Spanish culture, including art, literature, history, and daily life in Spain and the Hispanic world. A basic knowledge of Spanish is recommended. - Grammar Skills
A focused course to improve writing and grammar skills through a structured, practical program with intensive exercises. Suitable for all levels. - Pronunciation and Speaking
Perfect your pronunciation through communication activities. Learn to pronounce Spanish clearly and enhance your speaking skills. This elective is ideal for beginners. Recommended length: 2 weeks. - Spanish for Health and Medicine
Designed for students or professionals aiming to study or work in healthcare in Spanish-speaking countries. Build specialized vocabulary and communication skills in the medical field.- Level: B1 or higher.
- Maximum duration: 8 weeks.
- Spanish for Business
Ideal for students or professionals interested in business in Spanish-speaking countries. This course focuses on industry-specific terminology and communication skills.- Level: B1 or higher.
This comprehensive program structure allows students to personalize their learning while gaining fluency and confidence in Spanish.
DELE Exam Preparation
The school also offers DELE Exam Preparation courses, which are designed to help students prepare for the official DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) exams. DELE diplomas are the only internationally recognized qualifications for confirming Spanish language proficiency, whether for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
The DELE preparation program lasts 4 weeks, consisting of 20 hours per week, offered in either morning or afternoon classes depending on student preferences and availability. The program starts on the following dates in 2026: March 23, April 27, June 15, September 21, and October 19.
Espanolé IH Valencia is an accredited DELE testing center, so students can take the exam directly at the school. The DELE exam dates in 2026 are: April 17, May 23, July 10, October 16, and November 14.
Spanish Leisure Electives
Spanish and Cooking
Spanish gastronomy is a key part of Mediterranean cuisine, known for its tapas, iconic dishes like paella, delicious desserts, and products such as the world-renowned ham. With a focus on fresh, healthy, and flavorful ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and olive oil, Spanish cuisine is a celebration of taste and tradition.
In the Spanish and Cooking elective, you’ll immerse yourself in the fundamentals of Spanish cuisine. Learn about key ingredients and cooking techniques, and discover how to prepare a complete traditional Spanish menu. While you’ll explore the roots of classic Spanish dishes, you’ll also have the chance to experiment with contemporary culinary styles.
The program combines 6 weekly cooking classes with 20 Spanish language lessons. Both courses are designed to be practical and engaging, ensuring that learning is as enjoyable as cooking itself.
Start Dates: Non-beginners can start every Monday. Beginners start on the same dates as for the Intensive Spanish courses.

Spanish and Sailing Course
Sailing is one of the most exciting sports, and Valencia—recognized as an international sailing hub and host to the 32nd and 33rd America’s Cup—is the perfect city to experience the thrill of the sea.
The Spanish and Sailing course allows you to learn Spanish while enjoying the sport of sailing in one of Spain’s most Mediterranean cities. This program combines a practical Spanish course with hands-on sailing lessons, giving you the opportunity to improve your language skills while mastering the art of sailing.
Throughout the sailing course, you’ll gain skills to handle a boat, steer it, maneuver it, and understand the fundamentals of this exhilarating sport. You’ll also learn about meteorology, seamanship, safety at sea, nautical terminology, and essential seafaring knots.
The course includes the intensive Spanish course of your choice (20, 25, or 30 lessons) alongside 6 sailing lessons per week.
Start Dates: All levels can start every Monday.
Program Details:
- 6 sailing lessons per week
- 2 days per week
- Maximum 5 students per group
- Price per week: 120 €
- Available between June 1st and September 21st, with the program concluding on September 25th.
Accommodation
Homestay
Homestay accommodation is ideal for students who want to fully experience Spanish lifestyle, traditions, and habits. Families are carefully selected by the college and meet the strict standards of IHWO. The maximum distance from the school to the families is 25 minutes by transport. Accommodation is available in single or double rooms, with breakfast included. Half-board is available for an additional €35 per week, and full-board for €55 per week. Families provide bed linens and towels, and cleaning is done once a week. Most families offer free internet access.
Shared Apartments
Students share apartments with three or four schoolmates. Accommodation is offered on a bed-and-breakfast basis in single or double rooms. All apartments are equipped with kitchens, a shared living room with a TV, a washing machine, an iron, and free internet access. The school provides bed linens, while students need to bring their own towels. Common areas are cleaned bi-weekly, and students are responsible for keeping their rooms tidy. Apartments are located within 25 minutes of the school by transport.
Españolé IH Valencia Residences
Mercado | La Nave | Boutique
To ensure your comfort and relaxation during your stay, the school offers Resiolé, its own high-quality student residences located in the city center, just a short walk from the school.
Resiolé is a collection of boutique residences situated 6 to 12 minutes on foot from the school, exclusively for Españolé students. Each residence has between 12 and 27 rooms, available as single or double, with either private or shared bathrooms.
The school provides bed linens and towels, and handles maintenance. Weekly cleaning, along with the changing of sheets and towels, is included. There is always school staff available on-site to assist you with anything you may need.
Mercado Residence
Located in the vibrant “El Carmen” area, just a 6-minute walk from the school and close to the famous Central Market of Valencia, Mercado Residence offers a comfortable and convenient stay. It features 16 rooms, with options for single, double, or triple rooms, all with shared bathrooms.
The residence includes a shared kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry facilities. WiFi is available throughout the building.

La Nave Residence
Located on a peaceful pedestrian street in the heart of the city, La Nave Residence offers a prime location between the old town and the commercial district, just 12 minutes on foot from the school. The residence features 12 single and double rooms, with either private or shared bathrooms.
Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, laundry facilities, and a terrace. WiFi is available throughout the building.

Resiolé Boutique Residence is the newest and most modern accommodation option offered by Españolé. Located just 9 minutes on foot from the school, this newly constructed residence is nestled in the heart of the city, ensuring both comfort and convenience. With 27 rooms, each featuring a private bathroom, the residence provides a cozy and stylish living space for students.
The well-designed rooms, along with the fully furnished common areas, are tailored to ensure maximum comfort. Students can enjoy access to a shared kitchen, living room, dining area, terrace, and laundry room. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, ensuring easy connectivity.
- Room options: 24 single rooms and 3 double rooms, each with a study area and private bathroom. All rooms are equipped with heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort.
- Distance: Just 9 minutes walking from the school

El Puerto Residence (Private Studios)
El Puerto Residence redefines student living with its modern and private studio accommodations. This recently constructed residence offers 250 single studio rooms alongside a variety of top-tier facilities and services, ensuring both comfort and independence for its residents.
Located on Avenida del Puerto, one of Valencia’s key thoroughfares, the residence is near the city center and the Turia Gardens. The beach is only 15 minutes away, and travel to the school is convenient:

⚠️ Deposit Policy for Residences and Shared Apartments
Before entering the accommodation, students staying in an apartment or residence are required to pay a 100 euro security deposit. They will receive a link to make the payment online. This deposit is used to ensure that students follow the accommodation rules and to cover any potential damages or additional expenses for gas, water, and/or electricity incurred during their stay. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the accommodation period, once the condition of the facilities has been verified. Please note that if the payment is not completed within the first three days of their stay, the school reserves the right to cancel the accommodation.

Activities
In addition to regular Spanish lessons, the school organizes a variety of activities and excursions that allow students to explore Spanish culture, traditions, make new friends, and have fun. Many of these activities are free, while others are available for an additional fee on-site.

The modern architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences blends perfectly with the fountains and park surrounding it. Within this extraordinary complex is the largest aquarium in Europe, home to an astonishing 500 animal species, with 45,000 individual creatures. The aquarium also hosts unforgettable dolphin shows twice a day—just check the schedule for times.
A path through beautiful green spaces leads you down steps into what was once a riverbed. After a major flood in the late 1950s, the Turia River was diverted from the city center, and in its place now lies a stunning park, a proud feature of Valencia and one of the most beautiful parks in Europe.
A stroll through the park takes you to the city center, where diverse architectural styles and eras come together. One of the winding streets leads to the central city market. Engaging in lively conversation with the friendly locals, you’ll experience the Spanish way of life and feel proud as you purchase your favorite fruit, speaking fluent Spanish without the initial awkwardness or fear of making mistakes.
You’ll enjoy picnics, beach volleyball, paella and tapas nights, dance lessons, trips to the cinema, city tours, and shopping.

Registration fee of €80, airfare with applicable taxes, round-trip airport transfer, and travel health insurance.
