From Sketches to Sights 🖍️ 🎡 Our young learners at St Mary’s Uni are bringing London to life – on paper and in person.

19-JUL-2025 | On their second day of the program, Verbalists stepped into the world of storytelling, combining language practice with creativity. In class, they wrote short essays and sketched some of London’s most famous sights – Big Ben and the London Eye – learning the history and cultural weight behind each landmark while strengthening their English skills.

And what better way to follow that than by visiting those very same spots the next day? The skies may have opened up, but nothing could dampen the group’s mood. Laughter echoed under umbrellas as our students explored Westminster with the always-upbeat activity leaders from our partner school, St Andrew’s College Language Schools. By the afternoon, even the weather gave in 🌧️➡️☀️ the sun made a surprise comeback, lighting up an already exciting day.

These moments, both big and small, are what make this journey special. ❤️🏅 From the classroom to the city streets, our young learners are living London the Verbalists way – engaged, curious, and full of energy.
