The School – Kings Brighton
Kings Education is a leading international education group, renowned for its expertise in academic pathways and English language programs. Each year, students from over 60 countries enroll to pursue their education at top universities in the UK, the US, and beyond. Program
The active BRIGHTON program is designed to combine high-quality language learning with carefully curated extracurricular activities and excursions, offering excellent value and an unforgettable summer experience.
Lessons take place in international classes with no more than 15 students per group, ensuring a personalized approach to learning.
The curriculum emphasizes active participation through discussions, projects, interactive workshops, role-playing, film analysis, and teamwork.
On the first day, participants complete a diagnostic test to determine their class level. Regular progress assessments are conducted, and students receive a certificate of attendance upon completing the program.
Courses
The program includes a variety of General and Business English courses, tailored for participants aged 16 and older.
Standard English Course (20)
This course is ideal for those looking to improve their English skills while having ample free time to explore Brighton and socialize. It consists of 20 morning lessons per week and starts every Monday, regardless of the participant’s language proficiency level.
Key areas covered include:
- Communication skills, such as conversational language skills, listening and accents, reading and interpretation, and writing and presenting.
- Linguistic resources, including building your vocabulary bank, fine-tuning your pronunciation, interpretation of texts, and grammar and syntax.
- Study skills, such as note-taking and revision, research skills, time management and planning, dictionary work, and learner autonomy.
- Cultural and personal development, including understanding cultural differences and similarities, teamwork and leadership, presenting an argument, and discussion skills.
Intensive English Course (28)
The Intensive English Course offers 28 lessons per week, designed to help participants achieve fluency in the shortest time possible. It combines the Standard English Course (20 lessons per week) with a specialized program tailored to students’ interests and needs (8 lessons per week). The focus is on developing practical language skills required for academic or professional settings. Specialized modules include fluency and communication practice, Business English, exam preparation (i.e., IELTS), or university preparation. Modules are subject to availability and proficiency levels.
Daily Schedule for the Intensive Course:
- 09:00–10:30: General English
- 10:30–11:00: Break
- 11:00–12:30: General English
- 12:30–13:30: Lunch break
- 13:30–15:00: Specialized program
Extracurricular Activities
A rich and diverse activity program is a core feature of the active BRIGHTON program, making it increasingly popular among young learners each year. Carefully selected activities and excursions provide the perfect balance of learning and active relaxation, ensuring a memorable educational experience.
When evaluating the quality and cost of language learning options, it’s important to note the significant savings compared to standard language programs or the separate purchase of extracurricular activities and excursions. The active BRIGHTON program includes at least two afternoon or evening activities per week, as well as one full-day excursion, offering exceptional value.
Activities and Excursions
The two-week program includes a full-day weekend excursion organized by Kings or one of their trusted tour operator partners. Excursions are booked upon arrival at the school, with destinations rotating weekly based on weather, opening hours, and other factors. ⚠️ We strongly recommend that you consult the student services team upon arrival for details and an immediate reservation of an excursion.
The program also features a variety of engaging afternoon and evening activities, such as movie nights, arts and crafts, yoga sessions, and sports like soccer, basketball, badminton, and table tennis. Participants can enjoy walking tours, live drawing classes, laser tag games, and evenings filled with board games, VR gaming, or casual visits to local pubs. Cultural experiences include trips to museums and galleries, adding a well-rounded dimension to the program.

Accommodation
Three options are available: the Kings on-campus student residence, nearby university accommodation, and homestay with local families.
Oxford Place Residence
This modern student residence is located on the Kings Brighton campus. All rooms are single and come with private bathrooms. Bed linen is provided and changed weekly during cleaning. Towels are not provided, so students need to bring their own. Residents can enjoy access to a shared TV lounge and laundry facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the residence.
The residence is under 24-hour supervision for safety and security.
Accommodation includes full board, with meals served in the school restaurant: 19 meals per week (weekends include breakfast and dinner only).
⚠️ Important Note: The school has only 60 rooms available. Verbalists Education reserves a small number of these rooms exclusively for its students. Early enrollment is strongly recommended.

Pavilion Point Residence
This brand-new, modern residence is located just a 2-minute walk from the school, in the same block. Pavilion Point is situated in the heart of Brighton, in the vibrant student area of London Road. It is a 10-minute walk to the boutiques and cafes of the lively North Laine area and a 15-minute walk to the beach.
The accommodation includes stylish single rooms with private bathrooms; students are required to bring their own towels. Accommodation is on a full-board basis, including 19 meals per week (breakfast and dinner only on weekends).
Each living unit includes a fully equipped shared kitchen and a common lounge. Students have access to numerous on-site facilities, such as a gym, outdoor patio, social spaces, study areas, a student lounge, a café, and a games room.
The residence is staffed 24/7, and access to the building, hallways, apartments, and rooms is secured with electronic key cards.

Homestay Accommodation
Accommodation with carefully selected and monitored host families is available for students who want to experience authentic British life. The host families are located near the school. Students will stay in single rooms, with bed linens and towels changed weekly. Free access to the internet is also provided.
The stay is based on full board, with breakfast and dinner provided by the host family 7 days a week. Lunches are provided at the school canteen and can be either packed lunches or hot meals in the school cafeteria, depending on the schedule of activities.
Pricing and Program Dates
Individual arrivals are organized weekly starting June 28, with the program concluding on August 9.
Accommodation check-in and check-out are on Sundays.

Included in the price
The English course (20 or 28 hours per week, depending on the chosen option), non-refundable registration fee (£85), complete teaching materials, diagnostic test at the start of the course, certificate upon completion, textbook, accommodation as listed in the table, and a rich program (one full-day excursion for the 2-week program, two excursions for the 3-week and 4-week programs), as well as at least two afternoon/evening activities per week.
Not included in the price
Registration fee (£50), airfare, transfers, airport taxes, and travel insurance.
Important note: Travel costs depend on the date of purchasing the flight ticket and will be provided once we receive the specific inquiry/application, which can be downloaded here. Early enrollment results in savings on language training costs. The return airport transfer is included in the price of group travel only if the participant purchases their flight ticket through a travel agency appointed by PRODIREKT.
⚠️ UK visa requirements for minors: Participants aged 16–17 applying for a UK visa must use an organized airport transfer service, either by the college or PRODIREKT, or another authorized company providing transfer services.
