Sportech Academy, the program organizer, is an accredited Italian institution specializing in K-12 education. Its founders also oversee BDC School, which operates three campuses in the Milan metropolitan area, serving over 600 students aged 0 to 18 from 35 countries.
Sportech Academy has partnered with Raffles Milano, one of the most prestigious fashion and design schools in the world, located in the heart of Milan. Raffles Milano is part of Raffles Education, a global education network listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Since opening its first college in Singapore in 1990, Raffles Education has expanded to 16 colleges and universities across 9 countries in the Asia-Pacific and Europe, including Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, and China.
Raffles Milano features a modern 3,000 sqm facility in the center of Milan, complete with state-of-the-art amenities, including three specialized labs (Photography, Fashion, and Product Design), a library, and multiple relaxation areas.
Program
The academic MILAN Fashion program is designed for students ages 15-18 to discover or further develop their passion for fashion. No prior experience is necessary—only an interest or enthusiasm for these topics.
Taught by professors from the Raffles Design Institute, participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
Earn 4 University Credits – ECTS
Participants can earn 4 University Credits, fully recognized by the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). These credits can be applied toward future studies at Raffles Milano or transferred to other accredited universities across Europe, making this summer program not only creative and inspiring but also a meaningful academic investment for the future.
⚠️ Since the instruction is entirely in English, a minimum B1 proficiency level is recommended to ensure full engagement.

1. Tailoring & Sustainability
Designing with a Conscience
Available: July 5–July 11, and July 19–July 25
This course empowers students to create unique garments using recycled materials while developing skills in sewing, fabric manipulation, and decoration techniques. They will explore design development, material recovery, and crafting, culminating in the creation of a personalized fashion piece. Along the way, students will gain a deeper understanding of sustainable fashion practices. The course concludes with a fashion show or presentation, allowing participants to showcase their work.

2. Styling & Shooting
Crafting the Perfect Look and Capturing It
Available: June 28–July 4, and July 12–July 18
This course combines creativity and technical skills, teaching students how to craft visually compelling looks and editorial scenes. Participants will delve into the essentials of planning and executing photo shoots, including location scouting, model selection, and wardrobe coordination. By the end of the program, participants will have gained foundational skills and practical experience in styling and photography, giving them an introduction to bringing creative concepts to life.

Over the course of the weeks, our Fashion students explored some of Milan’s most influential creative spaces:
Accommodation
Aparto Ripamonti Residence
Verbalists students will stay at the newly built and modern Aparto Ripamonti Residence, located in the heart of Milan. This residence offers outstanding facilities and is ideally situated next to Scalo Porta Romana, Milan’s emerging “smart” business district, with excellent connectivity to the city center. It is also less than a 15-minute walk from renowned institutions such as Bocconi, IED, NABA, and Domus Academy, and just a 10-minute bike ride from Unimi, Cattolica, and IULM.
Arrival: Sunday; Departure: Saturday > This is a 24/7 immersive experience, with accommodation and full-board included throughout the program.
Accommodation Features:
- Individual studio rooms: Each student will have their own private studio.
- En-suite bathrooms and kitchenettes: All rooms come with a private bathroom and fully equipped kitchenette.
- Excellent modern amenities: The residence boasts TV rooms, game areas, a gym, common rooms, terraces, and study spaces.
- Supervision and safety: House parents are present at night, with a ratio of approximately 1 house parent for every 6 students.
