The Manchester City Football Camp for Girls gives young players aged 9–17 the opportunity to train with official Manchester City coaches at the famous Etihad Campus in England.

Manchester City Women’s Football
A New Generation Takes the Field!
Manchester City Women are one of England’s leading professional women’s football teams, competing at the highest level of the game.
Since becoming a fully professional team in 2014, they have won two Women’s Super League titles, four FA Cups, and four League Cups. Their remarkable 2025/26 season brought a historic league and FA Cup double, another milestone for a club that has helped shape modern women’s football.
But what makes the Manchester City Football Camp for Girls particularly special?
This is not a franchise or an independent football camp simply using a famous club’s name. This is Manchester City itself.
Girls train at the City Football Academy, part of the Etihad Campus, where Manchester City’s women’s and men’s first teams and academy players train. Their sessions are delivered by Manchester City’s own UEFA-qualified coaches, following the club’s training philosophy and methodology.
That direct connection matters. Instead of learning from outside coaches using the Manchester City name, participants experience the club’s own approach to developing players, from technical skills and tactical understanding to teamwork and match preparation.

Manchester City Football Camp for Girls
Three Programs, One Great Experience!
The Manchester City summer camp offers three main program options. Each combines professional football coaching with either educational workshops or English language lessons.
Boys’ and girls’ programs run separately but follow the same schedule. Girls train in their own groups and have separate residential arrangements. On the Football & English program, boys and girls may attend English lessons together.
1. Football Development Program – Ages 9–13
Learn new skills. Build your confidence. Enjoy every minute!
The program is designed for younger players of different ability levels, so you do not need to be an experienced club footballer to join.
Manchester City coaches will help you work on the fundamentals of football through practical exercises, small-sided games, and match situations.
You will practice your passing, dribbling, shooting, and movement, while learning to make quicker decisions and play more effectively with your teammates.
The learning continues off the pitch, with interactive workshops covering teamwork, nutrition, healthy living, and the role of technology in modern football.
Weekly schedule:
- 15 hours of football training
- 15 hours of football-related educational workshops
English requirement: Minimum B1 (Intermediate).
2. Football Performance Program – Ages 14–17
Ready to challenge yourself and take your football to the next level?
The Football Performance Program is for older girls who already have some playing experience and want to understand what it takes to develop as serious footballers.
Working with Manchester City coaches and performance specialists, you will focus on improving your individual technique, tactical awareness, fitness, and decision-making.
You will also explore aspects of professional football that are not always visible during a match, including performance analysis, injury prevention, recovery, nutrition, and mental preparation.
The coaches will help you recognize your strengths, identify areas for improvement, and approach training with greater confidence.
Weekly schedule:
- 15 hours of football training
- 15 hours of specialist workshops and performance education
English requirement: Minimum B1 (Intermediate).
3. Football & English Program – Ages 9–17
Play better football. Speak better English. Make friends from around the world!
Why choose between football and English when you can improve both?
The Football & English Program combines professional coaching with lively, practical English lessons based on the sport you already love.
Imagine taking part in a mock press conference, interviewing a teammate, discussing match tactics, or commentating on an exciting goal – all in English!
These are not ordinary classroom lessons. You learn how footballers, coaches, commentators, and journalists communicate, while improving your own vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence.
And because you will be spending your summer with players from different countries, you will have plenty of opportunities to practice English outside the classroom, too.
Weekly schedule:
- 15 hours of football training
- 15 hours of football-themed English lessons
English level: From complete beginner to advanced (C1). Students are grouped according to their language proficiency.
The Football & English Program is available to girls aged 9–17, with separate football training groups for different ages and abilities.
Life at the City Football Camp
More Than Just Football!
A typical day begins with breakfast at the residence, followed by transportation to the Etihad Campus.
Your day includes football training with Manchester City coaches, educational workshops or English lessons, and time to practice what you have learned.
Training takes place at the impressive City Football Academy, part of the 80-acre Etihad Campus used by Manchester City’s professional and academy teams.
The facilities give young players a real sense of what it means to train in a professional football environment.
But the fun does not end when training is over!
The program also includes organized evening activities, games, team challenges, and opportunities to explore Manchester.
Some highlights of your Manchester City experience include:
- Professional coaching with official Manchester City coaches
- Training at the City Football Academy
- Football-themed English lessons or specialist workshops
- A guided tour of the famous Etihad Stadium
- A visit to the Manchester City Store
- Organized games, social activities, and excursions

Every summer, Manchester City’s residential programs welcome young players from more than 50 countries. You might arrive in Manchester knowing nobody, but you could leave with friends from several continents.

Accommodation, Meals, and Student Care
For parents, choosing an international summer camp is about more than the quality of football coaching. Comfortable accommodation, proper meals, supervision, and student welfare matter just as much.
The Manchester City residential programs are designed to provide a safe, supportive environment where young participants can enjoy greater independence while receiving professional care.
Accommodation
Girls stay in supervised student accommodation in Manchester, with comfortable single rooms and private bathrooms.
Residential facilities include Wi-Fi, common rooms for relaxing and socializing, laundry facilities, and 24-hour staff support.
The accommodation arrangements are separate from those for boys, with dedicated staff looking after the participants throughout their stay.
Meals
Full-board accommodation includes three meals each day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Meals are organized at the residence and training facilities, with arrangements available for dietary requirements and food allergies notified in advance.
Transportation and Supervision
Daily transportation between the residence and the Etihad Campus is organized by the academy.
Students are supervised during training, educational sessions, excursions, and organized activities.
Manchester City’s dedicated residential and safeguarding teams provide 24-hour welfare support.
The program is based on individual international arrivals rather than accompanied Verbalists group travel. However, the academy provides on-site student care throughout the residential stay.

Important: Participants arrive on Sundays and depart on Fridays. Additional accommodation can be arranged for the final Friday night or weekend at an extra cost.

What Is Included in the Program Fee?
The program fee includes:
- 15 hours of football training per week with official Manchester City coaches
- 15 hours per week of English lessons or educational workshops, depending on the selected program
- Full-board accommodation (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Daily transportation between the residence and training facilities
- Official Manchester City training wear
- Teaching materials and program activities
- Organized excursions, including the Etihad Stadium tour
- Evening social activities and entertainment
- Residential supervision and student welfare support

The following additional charges are listed for the girls’ programs:
- Registration fee: £50
- Return airport transfer: £130 (Manchester Airport)
- Refundable damage deposit: £60
- Additional Friday night accommodation: £105
- Additional weekend stay: £365
Airfare, travel insurance, visa costs (where applicable), and personal spending money are not included.
Places on the girls’ programs are limited, so early inquiries are recommended, particularly for international participants who need to arrange visas and travel.
