Study abroad – one in four surveyed students would choose Canada.

28-MAR-2022 | Latest analysis by global education company IDP Education has found that Canada is the top destination of choice for one in four students. The US is placed second spot, with 20% of students indicating it is their preferred destination, and the UK and Australia are in joint third place. Overall the study surveyed more than 10,000 students worldwide.

Dangerous lack of student diversity for the main study abroad countries

Australia’s new Strategy for international Education sets the government’s strategy for the next ten years. According to the report “The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated that dependence on a small number of markets is not sustainable.” Students from only five countries make up 72% of the international student population in Australia. This has flagged the over-concentration of source countries as a risk to the Higher Education Sector.

10-DEC-2021 | British Council and Studyportals just released a report showcasing the global growth of English-taught programs. Almost one in five English-taught programs are now offered outside the UK, United States, Australia, and Canada, the Big Four English-speaking destinations.

Education News: No more quarantine for all under-18s coming to England!

From 4am on November 22nd, all under-18s worldwide will be able to enter England without needing to self-isolate on arrival. In addition, the UK government will recognize vaccines on the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL). As a result, Sinovac, Sinopharm Beijing and Covaxin will be added to the list of approved vaccines for inbound travel, benefiting more fully vaccinated people from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and India.

Top 10 universities in the world for 2021

This year’s rankings are launched at a challenging time for the whole world, with COVID-19 impacting universities and students alike. The latest QS World University Rankings reveals the top 1,000 universities from around the world, covering 80 different locations. There are 47 new entrants in this year’s top 1,000 while over 5,500 universities were evaluated and considered for inclusion.
