From the first ride to the sleepy bus ride back to campus, this Verbalists THORPE PARK day was exactly what a great summer program should feel like: active, loud, funny, shared, and impossible to forget.

21-MAY-2026 | In preparation for another exciting summer ahead of us, we thought it would be cool to look back at one of the most fun days from last year’s London Summer Camp at St Mary’s University.

For the final day of our two-week camp, we decided to save the best for last: a full-day THORPE PARK adventure together with our Verbalists group leader, Rada, who led the students straight into one of the most exciting days of the entire program.

THORPE PARK is one of Europe’s best-known theme parks, famous for big roller coasters, fast rides, water attractions, and the kind of full-day energy students immediately understand once they walk through the gates.

We arrived around 10:30 in the morning and stayed until late afternoon, trying to fit as much action as possible into one day. Some students went straight for the biggest roller coasters. Isidora and Bogdan skipped the rides but had a great time in the Arcade area. Filip and Andrej were among the most eager to try the rides, while the rest of the group stayed together with Rada, moving from one attraction to another, laughing, filming reactions, winning prizes, and taking short breaks before the next round of excitement.

The video shows the day exactly as it happened: the rides, the reactions, the noise, the joking around, the Arcade moments, and finally the quietest part of the day — everyone falling asleep on the bus ride back to campus.

The students attended our London Summer Camp at St Mary’s University, a two-week English language program with a Verbalists group leader, combining lessons, campus life, London sightseeing, international friendships, and carefully selected excursions.
