Forget textbooks and homework — we wanted German in motion. Last Summer Camp in Berlin was exactly that.
18-FEB-2026 | It wasn’t about “studying all day.” It was about stepping into a vibrant summer where German became the language of real life: new friendships, shared meals, city adventures, and those everyday moments when our students’ confidence suddenly clicks.
The Berlin Splash campus sits by a quiet lake, surrounded by tall trees and open green spaces. Mornings started with German in bright classrooms, but the day never ended there.
After lessons, the lake became the meeting point. Some students headed out on pedal boats, some tried stand-up paddling for the first time, others simply swam, laughed, or stretched out on the grass by the water. Volleyball matches started casually and turned competitive. Down by the shore, conversations shifted naturally into German — not because anyone had to, but because it felt normal.
When we hit a couple of rainy days, the fun simply moved indoors. The gym was rarely quiet: basketball, team games, music playing in the background, and that familiar mix of effort and laughter.

And then we had two great trips into Berlin. It was about 40 minutes by bus from campus — close enough to be easy, but still far enough to feel like a real adventure. And the bus ride was its own thing: loud, lots of laughs, music on, snacks being passed around.
In Berlin, it was less “tour” and more “we’re really here.” Group photos and countless selfies at the Brandenburg Gate, then another round at the Rathaus. Street food stops were basically inevitable — for many, a German sausage 🌭 had to happen at least once (or twice 🤣). Between wandering, shopping, and just taking it all in, the city felt like a backdrop for memories rather than a checklist.
That’s what made it special: structured enough to feel safe and smooth, relaxed enough to feel real. A summer where friendships formed fast, confidence grew quietly, and the best moments happened in between the plan.
