If you are younger than 18, we suggest you visit one of our summer camp programs in Berlin; please contact us for more information.
School

GLS (German Language School) is located in the historic center of Berlin, in trendy “Prenzlauer Berg” – around 1900 this district used to be a poor peoples’ habitat. After WW II Prenzlauer Berg ended up in the communist part of Berlin – with many intellectuals and artists living here. Once the Wall came down, the district boomed and became the trend district in Berlin.
Some of the main Berlin highlights are within walking distance from GLS:
- Museumsinsel: 1.5 km
- Hackescher Markt: 1 km
- Jüdisches Museum: 1.5 km
- Reichstag: 2 km
- Brandenburg Gate: 2.5 km
The school has a green campus with 5 houses and can accommodate 500 students.
GLS has been awarded five times “best German language school in Germany.” The school is accredited locally by the Berliner Senat, and internationally by the Swedish Ministry of Education.

An overview of the prices for the four-week program with different accommodation options is provided below in the main price list, keeping in mind that it is necessary to plan accommodation and meal costs for an additional, fifth week since the test is taken a week after the program’s completion. Hotel Oderberger
The Hotel Oderberger is situated within the campus and is a true attraction. Dating back to 1860, some of its spaces were used at different times as a public bath. The “Stadtbad Oderberger” bath is under the protection of the Berlin Monument Protection Institute. The hotel’s premises still exude history, as the GLS school acquired this impressive building in 2005, flawlessly restored it, and incorporated 66 modern classrooms and 130 rooms within.
The amazing pool hall, reminiscent of a cathedral, is a favored venue for art and fashion shows, open on various days throughout the week. Specific opening times are revealed monthly, with GLS students enjoying discounted rates.
All rooms are stylish and modern, but the historic flair lingers on, in carefully restored design details like lamps, tiles and doors.
The rooms are single occupancy, featuring private bathrooms, TVs, coffee makers, and refrigerators. Tower studios have their own kitchenette, while the sleeping area on a higher level in the hotel is reserved for the rooftop maisonette. Free WiFi is available.
