Why do we and our students love summer schools so much? Because a good Summer Camp is never only about classes, activities, or visiting London. It is about hundreds of young people from different countries coming together. Meeting each other. Sharing moments. Making noise. A lot of noise.
And this was certainly one of those moments.
19-JUL-2026 | Spain against Argentina. A crowded amphitheater at St Mary’s University. Our Verbalists in the middle of it all.
I was standing near the front, trying to film the match and their reactions. Then Argentina attacked, and one side of the room exploded. Spain took the ball, and the other side answered even louder.
Students were jumping from their seats. Singing. Clapping. Shouting. Flags were in the air. Most were supporting Spain. Some Argentina. Others simply joined whichever group was louder at that particular moment. 🙂
The match was exciting, but the atmosphere around it was even better.
Young people who had arrived from different countries and spoken different languages were suddenly one very loud, very happy crowd.
This is one of the reasons the St Mary’s Summer Camp remains our most popular program. The university campus is excellent. The program is full of classes, sports, excursions, and organized activities. But it is moments like this that students remember.
You do not simply attend this Summer Camp. You become part of it.
And that evening, St Mary’s did not feel like a university amphitheater. It felt like a football stadium. Don’t take our word for it. See for yourself. 🙂
