Cambridge recently welcomed our Verbalists for an unforgettable experience. Despite the rainy weather, the city’s charm and unique attractions made for a memorable visit.
The Verbalists have just had the chance to experience Cambridge firsthand! Our last group of amazing students explored this iconic city, known for its world-class universities. We drifted down the River Cam on a charming boat, reminiscent of a gondola, and even though the rain dampened our plans a bit, it didn’t dampen our spirits. Despite getting a little wet, the city’s magic still came through. When we returned to our campus at St Mary’s University, the fun continued with some soccer and basketball, and the girls had a great time at karaoke night.
Cambridge is more than just its universities; it’s a city full of hidden gems. Did you know that the Mathematical Bridge at Queens’ College, though it looks like it’s held together without any nails, actually uses iron bolts? Or that the Eagle Pub is where the discovery of DNA’s structure was first announced? These are just a few of the fascinating stories that our great guide Andrew shared with us.
This might all sound too good to be true, but trust us, you’ll see what we mean when you join us!
